Guangfu Temple was built in 1459. It’s located at Yandouxiejie near Shishahai. As a Taoist temple, it’s divided into East and West court. The East Court is well kept, the gate, nave, apse and other buildings remain alive, for the West court, the only remaining parts are 3 main hall, 3 allocated units.
National Grand Theatre
The exterior of National Grand Theatre is not insane attractive, but the design of the interior is breath-taking.

I felt it’s probably one of the most spectacular man-made marvel the moment I entered it. The arc was so huge that I had to look up all the time and kept turning around to explore different aspect of it. All the lines and shapes were ‘moving’ while I was walking. Though it charges for the entrance fee as I didn’t expect to pay to get in it, but later the beauty it conceals was more unexpected. It’s worth paying to see it!
Yandaixie Street
Yandaixie Street is in between Gulou and Houhai. The narrow entrance is almost unnoticeable, but the short street (only about 300 meters long) packed with antique shops sell traditional arts and crafts, fashionable clothes.
Jinbao Street
Jinbao Street lies north to Beijing’s Chang’an Avenue, east to the central axis of the city, and Forbidden City is only 1000 meters away from its west wing.
Walking on the street, you could see luxury hotels (Regent Beijing Hotel, Park Plaza Hotel, Legendale Palace Hotel and Xinhai Jinjiang Hotel), modern office buildings (Jinbao Tower, Huali Tower), Palace of Global Luxury – Jinbao Place, Hong Kong Jockey Club Beijing Clubhouse.
Beijing Antique Shop
At Shichahai area, you could easily find antique shops that sell traditional Chinese art work. Some of the buildings at the area date back to the Jin Dynasty. From the time of the Yuan Dynasty it was the northernmost part of the Grand Canal linking Hangzhou in the south to Beijing in the North of China. Because of this the Shichahai area used to be the most important commercial district with all kinds of activities going on.
Wangfujing
Wangfujing is one of the busiest shopping street in downtown Beijing. Located in the east of Chang’an Avenue, Dongcheng District. Many newly built shopping complex around Wangfujing made it less prominent as it used to be, but still a must-see for many foreign visitors.

Oriental Plaza
Oriental Plaza is one of the landmark at Dongdan, Beijing. In between Wangfujing and Dongdan North Street. It’s built by wealthy businessman Li Ka-shing.
Beijing Cloisonne Store
Cloisonne is an ancient metalworking technique. Many countries have made jewelry, vases and other crafts using this technique. But Beijing Cloisonne is considered as the best at doing it.
At the restored Qianmen Street, you can see the shop sells various Cloisonne vases. A giant vases displayed the store is taller than a human.
Intime Lotte Department Store
Intime Lotte Department Store is a new landmark located at Wangfujing. The giant building is filled with luxury brands like LV, Prada, Chanel and Amarni etc. If you are a shopaholic, don’t miss it.
